*Obituary Glenn A. Wilson
HEREFORD - Glenn Wilson, 79, died Monday, March 21, 2011, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in West Park Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Bushart of First United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors.

Mr. Wilson was born June 20, 1931, in Hereford to Roy Lee Wilson and Elizabeth Petty Wilson. He married Claudia Lewis in 1951 in Abilene.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Allen Wilson and John Wilson, both of Hereford; two daughters, Debra Wilson of El Paso and Judy Nicholson of Lefors; a brother, Nathan Wilson of Huntsville; a sister, Helen Haltom of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

Claudia Wilson, 87, a resident of Hereford for 81 years, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be Wednesday from 4:00-6:00PM at the funeral home.

Claudia was born October 5, 1933 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to John Arthur and Mildred (Marlett) Lewis. Claudia has been in the Hereford community for 81 years. She was married to Glenn Wilson for 60 years before his passing. While in high school she worked at the tax office. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cattle Town for 25 years and also for Arrowhead Mills for many years. She retired at the age of 75 to take care of her husband. She was a member of Beta Sigma Fi for 56 years, she helped with the First United Methodist Church’s newsletter, helped with Little Miss Hereford, a camp leader and a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and a member of the Rainbow Girls. She taught swimming lessons and was a lifeguard instructor for many years and was very active with celebrating class reunions.

Claudia enjoyed raising her children and animals throughout the years, her thoughts were that you can never have to many kids or animals. Her nephews and niece were very dear to her heart. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, dancing, playing the piano. She will always be remembered as loving her husband, children, family, and friends – so many people were very important to her.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Debra Wilson of El Paso, TX, Allen Wilson and wife Janet of Hereford, TX, John Wilson of Hereford, TX and Judy Nicholson and Husband Jim of Canadian, TX, sister, Georgia Rolland of Canyon, TX and Bonnie Bradley of Decatur, TX, six grandchildren, Johna Wilson, Rodey Wilson, Kayli Tisdale, Misty Wimberly, Lacy Offerdahl and Spencer Nicholson along with nine great-grandchildren.

Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn Wilson, sons, Ronald Wilson and Donald Wilson, granddaughter, Misty Nicholson and grandson, Marty Wilson.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital c/o Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of your choice.
