HEREFORD - Billie Jean Ray, 72, died Monday, March 20, 2000.
Services were at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with Elder Randy Dickson officiating. Burial of cremains will be scheduled later.
Mrs. Ray was born in Grand Saline and attended school in Hereford and Amarillo. She returned to Hereford in June. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Belen, N.M.
Her first marriage was to Verne E. Riggall. She later married William Ray who died in 1998.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Hall of Veguita, N.M.; four sons, Verne Riggall of Venice, Fla., David Riggall of Belen, and Joseph Riggall and Billy Riggall, both of Hereford; a stepdaughter, Shella Ennis of El Paso; a stepson, Donnie Ray of Dallas; two sisters, Joyce Riddle of Hereford and Peggy Drummond of Thornton, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Suite 12A, Lubbock, TX 79424.
