Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Belle Ricketts were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Herschel Thurston officiating.
Mrs. Ricketts, 75, os 239 Avenue D, died at 5 a.m., Dec. 30, in Deaf Smith Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on July 22, 1886, in Breckenridge, Tex., and married L.A. Ricketts on Oct. 19, 1903, in Hereford. She came to Deaf Smith County in 1903 from Alamagordo, N.M.
Mrs. Ricketts is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louise LeGrand of Hereford; two sons, Rayford of Baton Rouge, La., and L.A. of Arlington; one brother, John H. Patton of Hereford; three sisters, Mrs. J.O. Newell of Hereford, Mrs. Estelle Todd of Canadian, and Mrs. Lela Trotti of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Gililland Funeral Home of Hereford.
