HEREFORD - Mary Roark, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009.
Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Shultz officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery in Hereford.
Mrs. Roark was born July 14, 1926, in Crowell to Mary and H.K. Edwards Sr. She married Alton "Shorty" Roark on Sept. 1, 1947, in Crowell. Mrs. Roark was a camp fire leader and a charter member of the Hereford Cattle Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Waller and husband David of Houston; a brother, Bob Edwards and wife Marthanna of Lubbock; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Waller, both of Houston.
The family suggests memorials be to King's Manor Methodist Retirement Home, 400 Ranger St., Hereford, TX 79045.
