Services for James Raymond White, 72, of 222 Avenue B were at 2 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Mack McCarter, pastor, officiating. Burial was in West Park Cemetery under direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
He died Friday evening at St. Anthony's Catholic Hospital in Amarillo after a lengthy illneses [sic].
He was born Feb. 12, 1911, in Dennison and married Ruby Mitchell Nov. 28, 1930, in Altus, Okla. They came to Deaf Smith County in 1963 from Earth. He was a farmer and a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Shirley Ennis and Betty Williams both of Amarillo, and Essie Marie Edge of Cullman, Ala.; hree [sic] sons, Jimmy of Hereford, James A. of Amarillo, and Charles L. of Show Low, Ariz.; a sister, Lena Powell of Tulia; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
