HEREFORD - Samuel Verdon Watts, 91, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, in Amarillo.
Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Tracy Dunn-Noland, pastor of Fellowship of Believers Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Watts was born May 7, 1918, in Clyde to Lawrence and Fannie Killough Watts. He married Mary Whitehead Watts on Jan. 8, 1942, in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Watts and Bill Watts, both of Hereford; a brother, L.V. Watts of Hereford; a sister, Dorothy Ward of Hereford; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Hereford Senior Citizens Center, 426 Ranger Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
