Citizens Mourn Death of Mrs. Webb, Pioneer

Funeral services were held at the family home for Mrs. Mollie Elizabeth Barnard Webb, wife of H.B. Webb, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and interment was made in West Park cemetery. Rev. J.M. Fuller, assisted by Rev. V.M. Cloyd, conducted the rites. A host of friends came to pay their respects to the departed.

Mrs. Webb, who had been in failing health for several months, died Sunday night at the age of 64 years, nine months and 29 days. She was born February 10, 1866, and was married to Mr. Webb August 14, 1884. She and her husband had been in Hereford for 28 years, coming here from Parker county in 1902 for his health. Mr. Webb is a retired business man, a native of New York, who settled in Parker county in the early days, where he met his wife.

Out-of-town attendants at the funeral were George T. Webb, a brother of Mr. Webb, of Parker county; Mr. and Mrs. Pool and son, Carl, of Hedley; Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Barnard and son, Wright, of Avoca.

Deceased is survived by her husband; two sons, J.T., Los Angeles, and G.E., Hereford; three sisters, Mrs. May Peterson, Plainview; Mrs. George Ashwander, of Hanceville, Alabama; Mrs. Pool, Hedley, and a brother. J.L. Barnard, Avoca.
