HEREFORD - Thelma Weddel, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006.
Celebration of life services will be at 1 p.m. today in Hereford Central Church of Christ with Johnny Eastep officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Weddel was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Odessa, the daughter of Guy and Esther Altman. She married Guy Weddel on March 27, 1954, in Clovis, N.M., and they moved to Hereford in 1964, where she was a homemaker and a member of Hereford Central Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Chasaidy Cantrell and husband Clay of Hereford; a son, Jimmie Weddel and wife Jackie of Henrietta; a sister, Dorothy Drennan of Big Spring; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to King's Manor Methodist Retirement Home Westgate, 400 Ranger, Hereford, TX 79045.
