Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Eleanor Rogers, 30, were held Sunday at the First Christian Church with Rev. H.R. Ferking, of Amarillo, pastor of the Hereford Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment was in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Rogers died Thursday afternoon, October 31, in the hospital here after an illness of about one week.

Survivors include the husband, J.A. Rogers, two sons, Gayle, 13, and Johnnie, 11; one daughter, Susie LaJuana, 9; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tiefel; two sisters, Mrs. Buren Sowell and Mrs. Thurmond Johnson, and other relatives.

Mrs. Rogers was born January 10, 1910 in Brazil, Ind., and came to Deaf Smith county that same year with her parents.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Rogers was brought to Hereford at the age of three months and lived here her entire life with the exception of about four years that she lived in Denver, Colo. She attended Hereford public schools.

Pallbearers were August Frye, Paul Frye, Henry Wedel, Raleigh Wedel, Glenn Snyder and Phil Radovich.
