Graveside services for Mary Sue England, 71, of White Oak, Texas will be held at Mattenburg Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 with Charles Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Mary passed on Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Longview, Texas.
Mary was born on January 1, 1943 in Paris, Texas to James and Nannie Slagle. She married her husband Terri England on January 1, 1959 and lived in White Oak for 41 years. She was self employed as a hairstylist and beautician. Mary was a member of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. England is survived by her husband Terri; daughter Carla Shipp and son-in-law Jimmy of Big Sandy; brothers: Ray Slagle and wife Noami, Jody Slagle and wife Carolyn, and Buck Slagle all of Paris; sister, Doris Burton and husband Donald also of Paris; grandchildren: Jordan Shipp and wife Becca of Gilmer, Morgan Shipp and wife Candice of Irving; great grandchildren: Kennedy Shipp, Sawyer Shipp, and Lincoln Shipp.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, James Austin Slagle and Nannie Lou Duke-Slagle; son, Jody Dale England; sisters: Dean Mayberry and Tommie Lou Ballard; brothers: James Slagle and Ralph Slagle.
