HEREFORD - Jasper "Les" Thompson, 88, died Sunday, April 5, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Parkside Chapel with the Rev. David Morris and the Rev. Harlan Resch officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born in Chickasaw, Okla. He married Hester Shirley in 1931 at Portales, N.M., and moved to Hereford in 1935.
Mr. Thompson had been retired from Suits Auto in Hereford for several years.
Survivors include a son, Les Thompson Jr. of Denison; a daughter, Shirley Neighbors of Whitesboro; a brother, Art Thompson of Fritch; a sister, Ala Mae Hyatt of Albuquerque, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parkside Chapel with the Rev. Harlan Resch and the Rev. G.A. Van Hoose officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Konawa, Okla. She married Jasper "Les" Thompson in 1931 at Portales, N.M. They moved to Hereford in 1935.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Thompson and Bob Davis.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Leslie Thompson Jr. of Denison; a daughter, Shirley Neighbors of Whitesboro; a sister, Rhoda Stevens of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Ralph Shirley of Friona; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to First Assembly of God Church, 606 E. 15th, Hereford, Texas 79045; Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174; or a favorite charity.
