HEREFORD - Winnie Tyler 88, died Monday, April 5, 2010, in Amarillo.
Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home with John Henley of Hereford Central Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Tyler was born Feb. 8, 1922, in Farmersville to Floyd and Ida Woods Rickman. She was a homemaker, an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Thomas of Hereford; two sons, Jack Shelton and Gary Shelton, both of Farmington, N.M.; a brother, Leroy Rickman of Hereford; a sister, Imogene Sweeney of Hereford; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family suggest memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109; or Paralyzed Veterans Association (PVA) Memorial Donation Fund Processing Center, Lone Star Chapter, 3925 Forest Lane, Garland, TX 75042.
