Mrs. Valdez died Tuesday in an Amarillo hospital after a short illness.

Born in Mexico Nov. 4, 1912, Mrs. Valdez was married to Sam Valdez Nov. 15, 1932, in Ballinger. She had lived in Hereford 32 years.

Survivors also include her husband; three sons, six other daughters, five brothers, two sisters, 39 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
