Prayer vigil will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Valdez officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Hereford Heritage Funeral Home
Felipe was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Norton. He married his bride and lifelong companion, Margarita Aguirre Valdez on May 8, 1948, in Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Margarita; a daughter, Alicia Valdez Ruiz; two sons, Raul Valdez and George Valdez, all of Hereford; three brothers, Jose Valdez of Hereford, Cain Valdez of Wash., and Manuel Valdez of Brownsville; six sisters, Herma Linda Zamora, Raquel Coronado, Nydia Valdez Rincon, all of Hereford, Adriana Valdez, Evila Delion, both of Mexico, Francisca Avila of Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials to the Samaritan Hospice, 426 Main St., Suite E, Hereford, TX 79045.
