Ruby Davis, 82, of Andrews passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.

Ruby was born September 3, 1928 in Denton County, Texas to Harve and Bessie Mae Sconce. She married Thomas Abram Davis January 6, 1947 in Stanford, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1957.

Ruby loved to work in her yard and garden. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going on trips to Hobbs, New Mexico and Las Vegas, Nevada to visit the Casinos. She was very competitive and liked to play card games. What Ruby enjoyed most was visiting and talking to people. She made quick friends with everyone she met.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Thomas Davis of Andrews; two daughters, Vickie Dianne Hiner and husband, Bob of Midland,Tx; Nancy Kay Gossett and husband, Bryan of Odessa,Tx; one son, Larry Lee Davis and wife, Linda of Andrews,Tx; three sisters, Joann Whitley of Stanford,Tx; Louise Townsend of Stanford,Tx; Gladys Ray of North Highlands,Ca; seven grandchildren, Eddie Hiner, Todd Hiner, Tim Hiner, Cyndi Sprick, Megan Gossett, Jessica Sills and Hunter Davis; fifteen great- grandchildren, and three more arriving soon and one great-great-grandchild.
