AMHERST - Martha Sue Ferguson, 76, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Amherst with the Rev. Mike Butts of Interim Hospice of Lubbock officiating and the Rev. Dan Purdy, pastor, assisting. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery by Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.
Mrs. Ferguson was born May 7, 1935, in Amherst to Edgar E. and Maggie Lela McCommon Beason. She married Kenneth Ferguson on May 28, 1953, in Amherst.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jim Ferguson of Amarillo and Kenneth Ferguson of Amherst; a daughter, Denice Neal of Lubbock; a sister, Chloe Schinke of Fair Oaks, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
