Richard Gilmore, 77, of Coahoma died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Parkview Nursing Center. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church with burial at Coahoma Cemetery.

He was born December 9, 1935 in Howard County to Flossie and Lawrence Gilmore. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County and married Jane Graham October 30, 1935 in Coahoma. He worked for the City of Coahoma and Howard County and later as a truck driver & service technician in the oil field. He was an ordained minister and also served as a youth leader. He was an active member of Midway Baptist Church. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for Coahoma and Howard County. He loved fishing and fish fries, camping, gardening, wood working and crafts. Most of all Richard loved the Lord and his family.

He is survived by one daughter: Jana Smith and husband Earnie of Coahoma; one son: Leslie Gilmore and wife Judy of Lorenzo, Texas; five grandchildren: Shane Gilmore of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cody Gilmore and Kelsey Gilmore both of Smyer, Texas, Steven Smith and wife Heather of Shallowater, Keith Smith and wife Kendra of Big Spring and Maurry Powe and wife Jeton of Plainview; eight great grandchildren: Brian Smith, MaKayla Smith, Brandon Smith, Wyatt Powe, Lexie Bennett, Beaux Bennett, Shelbi Crawford and Josh Smith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jane September 12, 2010.

*OBITUARY Deanna Jane Graham Gilmore
Jane Gilmore, 71, of Coahoma, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at St. David's Medical Center in Austin.

Funeral services were held at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Binnix and Rev. Elwin Collom officiating. Burial followed at Coahoma Cemetery.

Jane was born March 3, 1939 in Coahoma to Lilleen (Bill) and George (Buck)Graham and was a lifetime resident of Coahoma. She married Richard Gilmore on October 30, 1955 in Coahoma. She received her Licensed Vocational Nurse degree from Howard County Junior College. She had been in the profession for over 41 years, having worked at Martin County Hospital, Scenic Mountain Medical Center, Veterans Administration Medical Center, Big Spring State Hospital, as well as nursing homes, hospice, home health, and most recently at Howard College in the nursing program. Prior to her nursing career, she also drove a bus for Coahoma ISD. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Jane is survived by her husband: Richard Gilmore of Coahoma; one daughter: Jana Smith and her husband Earnie of Coahoma; one son: Leslie Gilmore and his wife Judy of Lorenzo; one sister: Jaynet Hardin and her husband Ray of Big Spring; six grandchildren: Shane Gilmore of Edmond, OK; Cody Gilmore of Hobbs, NM; Kelsey Gilmore of Smyer; Steven Smith of Coahoma; Maurry Powe and his wife Jeton of Plainview; and Keith Smith and his wife Kendra of Big Spring; five great grandchildren: Brian Smith and Makayla Smith of Big Spring; Beaux Bennett; Lexie Bennett and Wyatt Powe of Plainview; a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Pete Graham.
