Myrtle Banks, 93, of Big Spring died April 1, 2013, at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Breckenridge.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Coahoma Church of Christ with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born September 17, 1919, in Blanket, Texas to Katie and Malon Hardwick.

She moved to Big Spring in 1933, from Blanket.

She married O. R. "Pete" Banks on May 13, 1942, in Colorado City. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1993.

She was a registered nurse at Malone-Hogan Hospital, now Scenic Mountain Medical Center, for 23 years.

She was a member of the Coahoma Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters: Judy Woodward and her husband Charles of Breckenridge and Donna Reefschneider and her husband Asa of Clyde; four grandchildren: Brandy Candelaria and her husband Alee of Vega, Barrett Bloomer and his wife Mashelle, Amanda Neal and her husband Shane, and Clint Reefschneider, all of Odessa; seven great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
