Jackie Free King, 60, of Coahoma, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, in a Big Spring hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Coahoma Church of Christ, Coahoma with Eddy Pitchford, minister, officiating. Interment will follow at the Coahoma Cemetery.
She was born on July 4, 1947, in Colorado City, Texas and married Gerald King on August 15, 1964 in Coahoma, Texas. Jackie grew up in Colorado City, she was the daughter of Otis and Lillian Free. She was a homemaker and had lived in Coahoma since marrying. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald King of Coahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Tim Flohr of Big Spring, Lori and Manuel Martinez of Coahoma, and Kristi and Matt Holbrook of Westbrook; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald, Jr. and Shea King of Colorado City; six sisters, Ann Boland of Modesta, California, Marie Garrett of Forsan, Wanda Escobar of Stockton, California, Opal Tackel of Colorado City, Donna Solari of Stockton, California, and Rhonda Arellano of Midland; one brother, James Free of Colorado City; eleven grandchildren, Jerod Flohr, Jaci Herrera, Eric Herrera, Sydne Flohr, Kassie Holbrook, Jason Martinez, Kaylea Holbrook, Katie King, Carli Martinez, Sam King and Lexi King, and one great grandson, Jaden Herrera. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Jerry Joe Free, Rex Free, Robert Free and Charles Free. The family suggests memorials be made to the Coahoma Church of Christ, Coahoma, Texas 79511.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
