Ruby Marie Cagle Walter, 86, of Woodway, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2005. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., an hour before service time. Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Joe Bailey and Bro. Gene Grace officiating. Burial will follow in Whitehall Cemetery in Woodway.
Ruby was born in Moody, Texas, to the late Alonzo and Alpharetta Dixon Cagle. She married Milton Earl Walter of McGregor on April 8, 1942, in Phenix City, Alabama. The Walters were long time residents of Woodway since February, 1954, and she was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
Preceding Ruby in death was her husband, Milton, on April 17, 2005; and nine siblings.
Survivors include her son, Earl Walter and wife, Lucy Guthrie Walter, of Waxachie; daughter, Mary Bilheimer and husband, David, of Woodway; grandson, Nicholas Walter, of Plano; brother, Deward Cagle, of Lorena; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
