*Obituary
Esta Williams, 89, of McGregor, formerly of Waco, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at Whitehall Cemetery in Woodway with the Chaplain Brian Pendleton officiating. She will lie in state at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors on Friday, Nov. 18, with no formal visitation scheduled.
Esta Myrtie was born in Marquez, Texas, to the late Preston Remoleo and Myrtie Lee (Sparks) Gilbert. Esta married the John Kendrick Williams on Dec. 19, 1936. They shared over 53 years together before his death in March of 1990. She loved and valued her family immensely! Esta was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Woodway.
Preceding Esta in death was her beloved husband, John, in March, 1990; sister, Edna Lee Sparks; and grandsons, Marc Filgo and Colby Williams.
Esta is survived by her daughter, Linda Gail Filgo and husband, Don, of Woodway; sons, John Gilbert Williams and wife, Sondra, of Azle, and Michael Kendrick Williams, M.D. and wife, Claudia, of Austin; grandchildren, Skip, Scott and Kelly Filgo, Marcie Markell, Jessica Williams, Tanya Ewing, and Emily and Richard Musselman; and eight great-grandchildren.
