Mary Thurman, 89, of Big Spring died Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Coahoma Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Monday at Myers and Smith Funeral Home.
She was born June 17, 1917, in Oklahoma. She married H. L. Thurman in 1949 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1975. She was a Nurses Aide, having worked at the Big Spring Care Center. She lived most of her life in Howard County and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Merle Berry and Pearl Cotton, both of Big Spring; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Viola Solsbery of Kingsland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
