BIG SPRING -- Marianne Turner, 86, of Big Spring, formerly of Kerrville, died Sunday in a Big Spring nursing home. Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.
She was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Germany, and married James Richard Turner July 19, 1949, in Dallas. He preceded her in death July 11, 1998.
She worked as a LVN at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kerrville for 20 years. She was a Methodist, enjoyed reading, walking and gardening.
Survivors include one son, Jim Turner of Center Point, five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Alma Voland Teubner; one daughter, Mary Jane Melton; and one brother, Jerry Teubner.
The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army, 511 W. 5th St., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
