FRANCES ZUNIGA
Tulia, Texas— Frances Lopez Zuniga, 84, died Friday, April 4, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 7, 2008 in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Tony Neusch, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Frances was born April 2, 1924 in Martindale, she married George Zuniga on December 13, 1951. They moved to Tulia in 1951. She worked in the cafeteria at the Tulia Public Schools and Swisher Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Zuniga, he died May 6, 1990, one step-son; George Zuniga, Jr., one sister; Mary Lopez and one brother; Manuel Lopez.

Survivors include one daughter; Mary Jane Esparza of Amarillo, four sons; Albert Zuniga of Amarillo, Henry Zuniga of Amarillo, David Zuniga of Ft. Worth and Juan Moreno of San Marcos, three step-daughters; Elidad Granado of Tulia, Consuelo Cortez of Seguin and Susie Nieto of Seguin, one step-son; Andres Zuniga of Austin, one brother; Domingo Lopez of Ulysses, Kansas, four sisters; Margarita Perez of Idalou, Natividad Rocha of Smyer, Dolores Gamez of San Marcos and Denisia Montana of Vernon, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren. Rosary services will be held at 6:30 P.M. Sunday, April 6, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
