Violet Genevia Bell, 94, of Big Spring, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring.
Violet was born November 4, 1920 in Sweetwater, Texas, the daughter of Severe and Ollie (England) McDonell. She married Clarence Bell, July 30, 1944 in Big Spring, Texas. Violet was an avid artist and owned Bell's Ceramic Shop in Big Spring for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Krail of Harvey, LA, and Carol Mullis of Broken Bow, OK; one sister, June McDougle and her husband, Kenneth; two brothers, Odis McDonell and his wife Delores of Bronte, TX and Gerald McDonell of Sweetwater, TX; three grandsons, Ronnie Jones and wife April of Granbury, Roy Ashley and wife Tiffany of Royse City, and Jeremy Darst of McKinney; five granddaughters, Kimberly Cragle of Harvey, LA, Debbie Smith and husband Cleo of Bethel, OK, Pam Brunette and husband Rick of Broken Bow, OK, Missy Burkham and husband Mike of Vernon, TX and Prissy Young of Battiest, OK; 16 great-grandchildren, Blake, Gene, Jessica, Erica, Nicholas, Nicole, Natalie, Natalin, Scott, Monica, Ryan, Will, Sidney, Bailey, Mindy, and Kelly; numerous great great-grandchildren and great great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, and daughter Cheryl Darst.
