Jewel McKinney Gibson, 92, of Andrews died Sunday, September 23, 2001.
She was born July 30, 1909, in Mishobe, Okla. She married Carl Gibson on Nov. 26, 1933, in Big Spring. They moved to Andrews in 1935. She was a homemaker and a member of the Andrews Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gibson in 1992, her daughter, Joyce Nelson, in 1996, her granddaughter, Jacqueline Yarbrough, in 1982 and her great-grandson, Benjamin Carl Nelson, in 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Laverne Butler of Andrews; three sisters, Ivy Wilson, Vera Harris and Lillie Harris, all of Andrews; two brothers, Chuck McKinney and Warner McKinney, both of Andrews; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
