Mary S. Cain, 83, of Bedford, formerly of Big Spring, died Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Bedford.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mary was born June 28, 1933 in Sweetwater, Texas, and married Harold “Sug” Cain, her high school sweetheart, June 1, 1952. He preceded her in death, August 15, 2016.
She was very involved in all activities at East 4th Street Baptist Church and worked for State National Bank from 1979 to 1996.
She enjoyed being with and taking care of her family.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Tanga Chapman, and husband, Steve of Bedford; two grandsons, Cade Chapman and Kyle Chapman; one brother, Morris Sewell and wife, Sue of Austin; a sister-in-law, Virginia Cain Tucker of Bedford; a brother-in-law, Jerry Jones of Big Spring; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Morris Sewell and Juanita Harmon McMahon; and her sister, Phyllis Sewell Jones.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
