Services for Sallie Lane Young, 86, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m.Monday, June 19, 2006 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction Sanders Funeral Home.
Mrs. Young died on Friday, June 16, 2006 in Plainview.
She was born March 13, 1920 in Lubbock to Hugh Thomas and Martha Jane Atkins. She married William Drew Young, Jr. in April of 1946.
Sallie was a sales lady at Skibell's and Margaret's. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974 and by a son, William Drew Young, III in 1977.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Hobbs of Lubbock and Suzanne Wall of Floydada; four grandchildren, John Wall, Jeffrey Wall, Cheryl Clark and Robert Hobbs; great grandchildren, Jonathan Wall, Taylor Wall, Kendra Henderson and Jason Foster; and great great-grand-child, Colby Henderson.
