Services for Charlene Young, 49, of Lubbock, Texas, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday August 20, at the Main Street Church of Christ in Olton, Texas. The Rev. Shawn Williams will officiate.
Burial will be at Olton Cemetery. Foskey Funeral Home in Dimmitt, Texas, is handling arrangements.
Young died Saturday, August 17, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness. She was born in Olton, Texas.
She married Jerry Young June 2, 1962, in Olton. She worked as a bookkeeper for her husband and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, Dustin Lydell Young of Lubbock; four sisters, Juanita Booth of Albuquerque, Laveta Phillips of Trinidad, Texas, Vaneta Brach of Atlanta, Ga., and Darlene Cochran of Rosser, Texas; two brothers, James Delbert Taylor of Clovis, and Don Taylor of Tucson, Ariz.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
