Mrs. Yarbrough, Here 53 Years, Succumbs At 79
Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mary Yarbrough, 79, a resident of Haskell 53 years, who died in Haskell County Hospital at noon Monday, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (today) in the Central Baptist Church here. Rev. W. L. Henry, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. L.D. Regeon, pastor of the East Side Baptist Church.
Burial, under direction of Holden's Funeral Home, will be in Willow Cemetery beside the grave of her husband.
Mrs. Yarbrough entered the hospital on April 19. She had been in failing health for three years.
She came to Haskell with her husband, the late Luther Wright Yarbrough, in 1911, from Runnells County. A longtime farmer, Yarbrough died August 24, 1931. Born August 28, 1884, at Gordon in Palo Pinto County, Lillie Highnote married Yarbrough on April 27, 1899, at Santo, Texas. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church here for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Okerson, of Amarillo, and Mrs. Ruby Hollar, of Haskell; two sons, Rufus Yarbrough, of Amarillo, and Leo Yarbrough, of Selma, Calif; two brothers, Bob and Luther Highnote, both of Haskell; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
