Jo Lane Bridges, 65, of Clyde, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Wayland Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Baird under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.
Jo was born May 8, 1948, in Comanche, Texas, to William Walter and Willie Hughes Lane. She attended school in Comanche. She married Jerry Bridges on May 25, 1991 and made their home in Clyde. Jo worked for 18 years as a secretary for Martin Sprocket & Gear. The past 16 years she was a homemaker and a loving grandma.
Jo is survived by her husband, Jerry, of Clyde; two daughters, Tracy Foller and Tonya Huntley, both of Clyde; two sisters, Letreca Sohns and husband Dennis of Belton and Lisa Bench and husband Max of Meridian; three grandchildren, Jordan Foller of Clyde, and Jadyn and Tucker Huntley of Clyde; nieces, Aletha Casey and Kayla Sohns; nephews, Adam and Aaron Johnson and Colton Barfield; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Adam Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Allan Casey, Zane Huntley, Mike Lay, Jr., Austin King, and Patrick King.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Eyvone Mast.
