ANDREWS - Milton R. Herring, 84, died Saturday, Dec. 18, at Permian General Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.. Tuesday in the First Baptist Chapel in Andrews with Dr. H.A. Hanks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Directors.
Mr. Herring was born on Dec. 31, 1914, in Montgomery County, Ala. He married Christine Pyron on May 28, 1936, in Belzoni, Miss.
He worked for Phillips Petroleum for several years as a shipping clerk, retiring in 1977. He moved to Andrews from Borger in 1986.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Andrews.
Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Christine Herring of Andrews; a daughter, Jo Ann Sealy of Andrews; two sons, Charles Herring of Denver, Colo., and Edward Herring of Houston; one brother, ted Herring of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Mary Allen of Eudora, Ark., and Grace Helms of Moss Point, Mo., eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
