Graveside services for Shirley Ann Howard, age 85 of Royse City, Texas, will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Dewayne Ivy officiating; burial will follow. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Shirley was born June 15, 1937 in Roby, Texas to Lea Ellen (Hurst) and Thurman Glen Stewart. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters. When she wasn't filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her sewing room, quilting. Shirley was also passionate about animals. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley Howard went home to Jesus on January 14, 2023.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Stewart, and two sisters, Mary Bledsoe and Carolyn Jones. She is survived by three daughters, Glenda Barnett and husband Mike of Midland, Texas, Kay Owen and husband Billy of Alto, New Mexico, Mechelle Ivy and husband Dewayne of Royse City, Texas, and one brother, Charles Stewart of Andrews, Texas, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
