*Obituary
Edith Hannis, 88, passed away Sunday evening at a Hamlin hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Aspermont officiated by Reverend Jason Covington with burial to follow in the Aspermont Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.
Mrs. Hannis was born in Dallas County, she married Thomas Hannis in Lampasses, July 12, 1936, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Veterans Widows Association.
Survivors include two brothers, John Purdue Jr. of Fort Worth, Jerry Purdue of Aransas Pass, Texas; a sister, Aline Blacklock of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Hannis; brothers, Jessie Purdue, Raymond Purdue, Roy Purdue and James Purdue
