ANDREWS - Dorothy Birchfield, 80, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Matador with the Rev. Dale Dozier, pastor of McKinney Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery at Matador by Seigler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Birchfield was born in Langley, Ark., and moved to Motley County in 1924.
She married Robert A. Birchfield in 1946 at Matador.
Mrs. Birchfield had been a former resident of Levelland, Midland and Rankin and had lived in Andrews for the past 12 years. She also was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bobby Birchfield of Andrews and Bill Birchfield of Dallas; two sisters, Delora Medley and Vernell Nuss, both of Lubbock; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
