Minnie Lucille Waggoner, of Andrews passed away peacefully on June 4, 2014 at Manor Park in Midland, Texas.

Minnie was born on June 14, 1917 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Earnest and Flora Bell. She married Cecil Waggoner in 1936. Minnie spent her entire life in an "oil field environment," including Turner Town in East Texas where she and Cecil owned and operated a trucking company. They relocated in 1957 to Andrews, Texas where Minnie helped with the trucking company as well as keeping books for many Andrews businesses. They were always active farmers/ranchers and she had a deep love for horses. She was well-known for being the oldest Trail Rider (Fort Davis) to the Annual Pecos Rodeo) for 10 years. She was a very interesting pioneer woman who was a member of the Andrews Sheriff's Posse for many years. Anyone who knew Minnie knew what a strong woman she was and enjoyed her wonderful gift of storytelling. She loved the life she lived and considered herself very blessed.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Cecil; one daughter, Rita; and her brothers, Willard, Earnest and Floyd Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Roberts and husband, Ross, and their children Teresa and Mike Newman, Sherry and Steve Mahaffey and Ross, Jr. and wife Susie. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Following a family burial service, a Service to Celebrate the Life of Minnie Waggoner will be held at McNett Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel.

The family of Minnie Waggoner wishes to thank Dr. Robert Vogel, employees of Manor Park and Hospice of Midland for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Midland or a charity of your choice.
