*Obituary Bertie Mae Townsend Watson
Bertie Mae Watson, 86, of Farmington, passed from this life into her eternal life Sunday, March 2, 2008. She was born April 24, 1921, in Rising Star, Texas, to Roy and Beulah Mae (Hitt) Townsend.

Bertie enjoyed crocheting, playing dominoes, cards, and dancing. She was a member of the Aztec Methodist Church. Bertie was a life member of the VFW Post No. 614, that she and her husband, Ervin, helped found.

She will be missed by her loving family and friends.

Bertie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ervin Watson; her mother and father; her brothers, Clifton and Dwight Townsend; sister, Joyce Tharp; great-grandson, J.J. Shryock; and by great-granddaughters, Charless, Brianna and Alohna Shryock.

She is survived by her children, Betty Awbrey of Hayward, Calif., Margie Neitzel of Sachse, Texas, Emery Watson (Judi) of Bloomfield, and Coy Watson (Cindi) of Aztec; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and by her sister, Ila Rose Whyte of Joplin, Mo.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. William Barkman, the nurses at San Juan Regional Medical Center, and to the ladies at Life Care Center of Farmington.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Main, in Andrews, Texas. Interment will follow at Andrews Old Cemetery. A reception will be noon at Means Memorial United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Joey Shryock, Johnny Shryock, Lonnie Shryock, Mark Neitzel, Clay Watson, Emery Watson and Kolby Watson.

Local arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St., in Farmington; (505) 327-5142.
