Betty Jo Buckley 84, of Odessa, Texas died peacefully in Andrews, Texas on Monday July 7, 2014. She has been a resident of Odessa, Texas for 43 years after living in Andrews, Texas during the 1960s.
She was born to Lee and Nola Brown in Haskell, Texas on October 16, 1929. She married Robert G. Buckley on December 23, 1950. She lived in several West Texas communities following her husbands jobs in the oil field. She was a homemaker, and cared for her disabled daughter for many years. She enjoyed western movies and music, cooking, and decorating her home.
She is a survived by her Son and Daughter-in- law Robert and Pam Buckley of Andrews, Texas Grandson Phillip Buckley of Andrews, Texas Brother Charles Brown of Moody, Texas, Sister Helen Buckley of Sacramento, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and Husband Robert G. Buckley, Daughter Carolyn Jo Buckley, Son James A. Buckley, Brother Lee Roy Brown, and Sister Sarah Creel. Visitation is scheduled at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas on Friday July 11, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon. Graveside services will be held at Andrews West Cemetery in Andrews, Texas on Friday July 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Brant O Conner of Andrews, Texas will officiate, services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
