Julio G. Martinez, 85, of Midland died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002.
He was born April 12, 1917, in San Antonio. He married Concepcion Cantu in San Antonio. She died Jan. 29, 1985. He was a mechanic at the Air Force base in San Antonio for several years.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jesse in 1959 and Julio Jr. in 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Raymundo of Greeley, Colo., and Reynaldo of Wichita, Kan.; four daughters, Margarita Mireles of Midland, Elenda Rodriguez of San Antonio and Ofelia Martinez and Rosa Rodriguez, both of Wichita; a sister, Margarita Hernandez of San Antonio; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
