HEREFORD - Barbara "Bobbie" Wilson, 79, died Monday, July 23, 2007
Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. today in Central Church of Christ Church in Hereford with Leon Talley, Dean Wiseman and James Self officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Hereford, the daughter of George and Grace Robertson. She married Elvin Wilson on Feb. 27, 1944, in Portales, N.M.
Mrs. Wilson's first love was her God, Hereford Central Church of Christ and her family. She was a member of Hereford Central Church of Christ and the ladies Bible class, a founding member of the Hereford L'Legra Study Club and was very active with the Hereford Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Wilson loved working in the gardens at the E.B. Black historical house in Hereford and was a member of the Deaf Smith County Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband, Elvin; a son, Mickey Wilson and wife Shirley of Beeville; two daughters, Darlene Bingham and husband Dean of Kilgore and Diana Gerk and husband Ray of Hereford; a sister, Wilma Jo Hamilton of Fort Collins, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
