HEREFORD - J.L. Bell, 80, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Quin Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Bell was born in Copperas Cove. He married Ona Ho-Glandon in 1940. They moved to Hereford from Roaring Springs in 1940.
He worked for Care Perrin, Hereford Butane and Tip Top Oil Co.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Bell of Amarillo; two daughters, Gloria Keahey and Patricia Wall, both of Amarillo; a sister, Genevia Sims of Alvord; a brother, Hulan Bell of Benbrook; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

HEREFORD - Ona Bell, 87, of Amarillo died Saturday, June 6, 2009, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. James Peach of Frio Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bell was born June 16, 1921, in Afton to John Wesley and Georgia Leona Chaney Ho-Gland. She married J.L. Bell on Jan. 13, 1940, in Roaring Springs.
Survivors include a son, Roy Bell of Amarillo; two daughters, Pat Wall and Gloria Bell-Keahey, both of Amarillo; a brother, Bill Ho-Gland of Amarillo; a sister, Marie Bridges of Crum; seven grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
