Graveside services for Glenda Owen, age 75 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery, with Pastor Joe Stewart officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Owen was born April 16, 1948 in Kermit, Texas to Lavelle (BeLue) and Ray Allen Todd. She graduated from Jal High School in 1966 and worked for Phillips Petroleum as an administrative assistant for 23 years. She was a Baptist. She married Sammy Owen in Odessa, Texas on June 2, 1984 and helped Sammy raise his children; following retirement she became a stay-at-home mom for their grandchildren. Sammy regards her as the best thing that ever happened to him.
Glenda Owen passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her home in Seminole. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Linda Avant. She is survived by her husband Sammy of Seminole; two sons, Chris Owen and wife Almi of Conroe, Texas and Marty Owen and wife Tanna of Dickinson, Texas; one daughter, Carrie Bevel of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Donald Todd of Jal, New Mexico and Ronnie Todd of Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Judy Harkey and husband Jackie of Odessa, Texas; six grandchildren, Aubrey Finochio and husband Daniel of Juneau, Alaska, Chris Owen II and wife Lena of Seminole, Montana Bevel of San Antonio, Texas, Heaven Leigh Owen of Pearland, Texas, and Austin Flynt and Juliet Owen of Conroe, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Logan Finochio of Juneau, Chris Owen III of Seminole, and Eden Elaine Hanley of Pearland.
The family requests that any donations be made to The Cancer Society in Glenda's name.
