Thelma Kay Nugent was called to her heavenly home on July 10th, 2022, in Terrell, Texas. She was born on December 13th, 1942, to Eugene and Thelma Scott and married James L. Nugent on January 3rd, 1963, in Lamesa, TX.
She is survived by her husband James L. Nugent of Terrell, TX, sons Jimmy Nugent and wife Tamara of Albuquerque, NM, Joe Nugent of Fort Collins, CO, daughter Colleen Nelson and husband Chad of Terrell, TX; grandchildren, Morgan Nugent, Katlin Green, Dylan Starks, Dustin Starks, Zachary Nugent, Riley Nugent, Alec Nugent, and Brady Nugent; three great grandchildren, Jameson Green, Jase Green, and Scottie Nugent; brother Douglas Scott and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; bothers Stanley Scott and Robert Scott; grandson Christopher Nugent

A Celebration of Life for Thelma Kay Nugent will be held at her graveside on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, at 11:00 am at Loop Cemetery located at 1473 FM303, Loop, TX 79342. Family and friends will gather at the Community Center (next to the cemetery) after the burial.
