HEREFORD - Margaret Young, 86, died Thursday, March 26, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Cosby, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park by Gililland Watson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Young was born in Marysville. She moved to Deaf Smith County from Fort Worth in 1929. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 35 years and sang in the choir. She also was a member of the Hereford Art Guild and the Garden Beautiful Club.
She married E.W. Young in 1928 at Marysville. He died in 1985. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dixie Murphy, in 1960.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Young of Amarillo; two daughters, Louise Leasure of Hereford and Mary Ann Ashley of Centreville, Va.; a sister, Jessie McGill of Lamesa; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
