TEMPLE, TEXAS - Ida Lucille Trout, 89, was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Lucille, a former longtime resident of Andrews, moved to Central Texas in 2012 and was residing there at the time of her passing.

Lucille was born to Bennett William Reed Sr. and wife, Mary Pearl, at home in Carlsbad, TX on January 25, 1927. She attended school in Carlsbad and graduated from Water Valley High School in 1944. After graduation Lucille attended cosmetology school in San Angelo and upon receiving her board certification, moved to Fort Stockton, TX with her best friend and began working as a beautician. It was in Fort Stockton that she met and married Clyde L Trout Jr. on August 18, 1945. They lived in several different cities across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas while Clyde was working core drill, and finally settling as residents in Andrews for over 45 years together.

Lucille served as secretary-treasurer of the Mother's Club Organization at Travis Elementary, where her daughters attended school. She was later elected to the position of President serving several years. One year, she volunteered as a tutor helping ESL students improve their reading skills while wintering in the Rio Grande Valley. Lucille worked with a group of ladies helping to sew quilts and blankets for families in need while staying in South Texas. Clyde and Lucille loved to spend the fall and winter down south and actively participated in cribbage tournaments while staying there. They loved to fish and camp as often as they could while in good health. Lucille was also an active member of Second Baptist Church while living in Andrews where she taught Sunday School, served on various committees and even volunteered to chaperone the Girl's Auxiliary to summer camp one year.

Lucille's mother taught her to sew and she became a very accomplished seamstress for herself and her daughters. Her talents in sewing ranged from making school clothes and majorette outfits, to beautiful prom formals and wedding dresses for her daughters. She also loved to crochet--making dolls, toboggans and Christmas Angels for her family.

Lucille was a very loving mother and grandmother who is survived by her daughter Paula Fanelli and husband Joe of Temple TX, daughter Peggy Gross and husband Alton of Andrews TX, and daughter Carol Blackburn and husband Danny of Eddy TX. Lucille has 8 living grandchildren: Sherri Bryson and Michael Fanelli of Indiana; Mark and Clint Gross of Andrews; Andy Blackburn of Odessa, Burt Blackburn of Bloomfield, NM, Matt Blackburn of Belton, TX and Danielle Blackburn Pursche of Temple TX. Great grandchildren include Brittany Harris, Tiffany Bryson, Chris and Joseph Fanelli; Cutter Coats, Tripper and Riggen Gross; Austin, Dylan, Brooke, Daniel, Micah and Kizzie Blackburn. Great, great grandchildren are Hayden Fanelli and Kaedrian Harris. Also surviving Lucille is a sister, Viola Saunders of Oklahoma City, OK, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding Lucille in death was her husband of 62 years Clyde Trout, grandson James Smith, brothers B.W., Marvin, and Curtis Reed and a sister, Anita Weldon.

Services for Lucille will be held at McNett Funeral Home Chapel, Andrews TX, on June 22, 2016 at 2pm, officiated by Brother Kevin Covington of Second Baptist Church.
