Funeral services for Velma Mae Winchester, 90, of Andrews were held Monday, June 19, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Raul Puente and the Rev. Don Swindell of Star Hospice in Odessa officiating. Burial followed in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
She died Friday, June 16, at Home Hospice House in Odessa.

She was born June 4, 1916, in Millersview to James Robert Starnater and Lena Billings Starnater. She was raised on the family dairy farm in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School in 1936.
She married Monroe Bonner "M.B." Winchester on Oct. 1, 1938, in Abilene. They moved to Andrews in 1956 from Odessa.
She was a homemaker and a Presbyterian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Martin of Andrews, and three grandchildren.
