Bobby Lynn Dykes, 61, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Bobby was born February 14, 1954 in Big Spring to Billy Gene and Sybil Jean Dykes.

He married Sherri Ruth Thompson December 27, 1975 in Dallas, She preceded him in death, May 28, 2007.

Music was his life. His band, the "Texas Outlaws" played all over and played many benefits.

Bobby loved working with wood and tending to his flowers.

He was very close to his family and will be missed by his many friends.

Bobby is survived by a son; Bob Dykes, Jr. of Amarillo; a daughter, Tanya Jewett and husband, Jeremy of Arvada, Colorado; 4 grandchildren; two brothers; Gerald Dykes and Charles Dykes both of Big Spring; one sister; Karen Brown of Fort Worth.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Billy and William Dykes.
