*Obituary Mamie Jean Meador Emerson
Mamie Jean Emerson, 89, of Big Spring, died Friday, November 29, 2019 at Parkview Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Ken McMeans, pastor of College Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born August 28, 1930 in Big Spring and married Bill Emerson in 1984 and he preceded her in death October 8, 2000.Jean graduated from Big Spring High School in 1947 and worked at EP Driver Insurance Agency from 1968 until retiring. After retirement she enjoyed family, friends and fishing. She loved to cook and was quite the chef!! Her pecan pies were impossible to beat. The family will DEFINITELY MISS HER COOKING!!!

Survivors include one son, Ray E. Kennedy and wife, Barbara; two grandchildren, Michael A. Richardson and wife, Irene, and Stefanie Bullard and husband, Kevin; four great-grandsons, Kenny Richardson, Kristian Richardson, Kameron Richardson and Brock Bullard; a sister-in-law, Jo Meador; a nephew, Steve Meador; and a close friend, Lucy Morleon.She was also preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Reba and Roy Rogan; her father, Harold E. Meador; one brother, James A. Meador; and a grandson, Kenny Richardson.The family suggests memorials to College Baptist Church, 1105 Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
