BIG SPRINGS (RNS) -Carlos H Evans, 68, a retired Cabot Corp., employee of Big Spring, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday in a local hospital. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nailey-Piekle Rosewood Chapel. Burial with graveside rites will be in Trinity Memorial Park.
Mr Evans was born Aug, 21, 1904 in Mason. He married Louise Hickman in Brady in 1924. They moved to Big Spring in November 1964 from East Texas. Mr Evans had been an employee of Cabot Corp. for 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Coahoma and Coahoma Masonic Lodge No. 992 A.F. and A.M.
Survivors are his wife, one son, Don Evans of Big Spring; two daughters, Mrs. Eldridge Dupree of Levelland and Mrs. Virgil Rice of Kaufman; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Borden and Mrs. Mary Appleton, both of Brady; and two brothers; Ross Evans of Brady and Ernest Evans of Artesia, NM. Members of the Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers.
