“Loving wife, mother, and grandmother”

*Obituary
Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home

Sharon "Sheri" Lee Boswell McCauley, born on January 18th, 1949, and passed away September 20th, 2021. Sheri was born in Baltimore, Maryland from her father, John David Boswell and her mother, Hilda May Higgins, but primarily raised by her grandmother, Sadie Boswell in West Virginia. Our loving mother was one of a kind. The type of person that would literally give her last penny to help out her kids and grandkids. She was an avid Cowboys fan and loved having our weekly parties at her house to watch the Cowboys. The last 9 months have been a battle, but she never lost her positivity. Always ready and willing to face the next challenge. We honestly believe she was only holding on for us at the end. We're so thankful we got to spend invaluable time with her during her last months. Mom was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randy Ficklen. She is survived by a host of loving family members including sons John McCauley (wife Kristi), Mitch McCauley (wife Wendy) and Matt McCauley, (wife Cynthia). Mom's precious 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and her precious dog, Sophia. Mom will be laid to rest next to Randy at our local cemetery in Sachse, Texas.
